Placed into a foster home at the age of 3. That lost and abandonded feelings were very real. At the tender age of 8 the influence of great entertainers began to take their place and Kymm began to pretend she was this great entertainer. Durng the innocent age of 10 the excitement of singing in the school Christmas play was characature building, but then destroyed by a teacher who said, "You're not good enough". Needless to say Kymm did ot want to be an entertainer any longer. When 15 stepedinto Kmms life so did Ms. Sally Easton Lawrnce. Mrs. Easton introduced Kymm to modeling and acting. The excitement began to return and the stage was set. Kymm exploded in performing and coordinating shows. She also had a great influence in fashion by a neighbor named Ms. Betty. Ms. Betty was just beautiful in Kymms eyes. So the tom-boy Kymm began to make some changes in her presentation. The changes took place over night, because it was just a matter of making the decision to do it. Kymm's fashion influence also gave her the flavor she possesses today for fashion desgning.
Between 16 and 19 Kymm coordinated fashion shows introduing original designs created by Kymm herself. Modeling, dancing and acting became a true passion for Kymm. As time went on and at every opportuniy there was a place on a stage, she was there. Kymm became well known in her community/nighborhood for her designing and fashion shows. She attended the Fashion Institute of Philadelpia for commercial art, fashion merchadising and interior desgning. This was a magical time in her life.
During her time with the fashion Institute, Kymm landed a job managing a private lingerie shop called, "Le Jour De Amour". This full time position became the focal point in Kymm's life and many chages took place. Life took over and a big move was in order. This big move took Kymm to Atlant GA where she woked and settled in for a few years. In the year 2000 Kymm began a not for profit organization called K.Y.M.M.Inc. which stands for Keep Your Mind Moving. This is a message to our youth, that tells them to keep working and stay focus on their dreams. This is the way Kymm gets to be that Ms. Betty and Mrs. Easton to children today. Providing a stage and the event that hosts the children talent and those who have great dreams.
Currently Kymms project is called, "The Youth Talent EXPO", This is a life long project. So far it has been in existance for the past four years. It is a continiously growing project that will affect all that experiences it. This is is a project that Kymm plans on having for the rest of her life.
